Two Days of Life Lessons in the Dense Forest

13 February 2026

Savayava Krishika Grahaka Balaga (R), Mangaluru

The next study tour organized by the Savayava Krishika Grahaka Balaga for its active members is ‘Two Days of Life Lessons in the Dense Forest.’

This is a valuable opportunity to visit Joida in Uttara Kannada district, which has earned the distinction of being Karnataka’s first organic taluk, and to interact closely with the Kudubi tribal community, especially school children, in order to experience and study their way of life.

Members of our group are eager to participate in this program, which will be held on February 13 and 14 under the guidance of the well-known environmentalist Mr. Dinesh Holla.

Our team will be spending time with approximately 70 school students there. These children, despite living in a dense forest region and facing many hardships, are striving hard to pursue the education they love. Our objective is to encourage and motivate them.

With this intention, we request kind-hearted individuals who wish to offer small mementos or useful items to these children—such as stationery for learning, books, snacks, lunch boxes, or similar essentials — to kindly deliver them by 12:00 noon on February 12 to Sahitya Kendra, located on Panje Mangesh Rao Road, Mangaluru.

Let us come together and be part of this noble cause of supporting the upliftment of tribal children.
